The price of titanium sponge has decreased, and the titanium material market is in the doldrums [SMM Titanium Spot Cargo Bulletin]

[SMM Spot Titanium Report: Sponge Titanium Prices Fall, Titanium Material Market in the Doldrums] SMM reported on August 6 that the average price of grade 0 sponge titanium was 50,500 yuan/mt, down 1,000 yuan from the previous working day; the average price of grade 1 sponge titanium was 49,000 yuan/mt, down 500 yuan from the previous working day; the average price of grade 2 sponge titanium was 47,500 yuan/mt, down 500 yuan from the previous working day; and the average price of titanium ingot (TA1) was 57,000 yuan/mt, down 500 yuan from the previous working day.

SMM reported on August 6 that the average price of Grade 0 titanium sponge was 50,500 yuan/mt today, down 1,000 yuan from the previous working day; the average price of Grade 1 titanium sponge was 49,000 yuan/mt, down 500 yuan from the previous working day; the average price of Grade 2 titanium sponge was 47,500 yuan/mt, down 500 yuan from the previous working day; and the average price of titanium ingot (TA1) was 57,000 yuan/mt, down 500 yuan from the previous working day.

Currently, the titanium sponge market is experiencing a downward price trend, primarily influenced by the continuous weakening of downstream titanium material prices. The purchasing power in the end-use consumer market is insufficient, and price pressure has been transmitted upwards to the titanium sponge sector, causing its prices to fall back from highs. Recently, the demand for titanium sponge has remained sluggish, and it is expected that the overall market will maintain a weak and stable pattern in August.
